AeSI, Thiruvananthapuram Branch
The Aeronautical Society of India founded in1948, promotes the advancement and dissemination of knowledge of Aeronautical and Aerospace Science/ Technologiesin the country.
Starting from 2008, AeSI Thiruvananthapuram Branch has been organizing the Annual National Conference ASET (Aerospace - Emerging Trends), dealing with the emerging trends in the field of Aerospace and applications, enabling scientists, academicians, technocrats and industrialists to share their vast pool of knowledge and experience.
In this context, AeSI is organizing a two day National Conference on'Technologies for the Indian Human Spaceflight Program' during 27-28 September, 2024 at VSSC, Thiruvananthapuram
Started in the late 1960s, the Indian Space program, has evolved in diverse fields of Earth Observation, Communication, weather broadcasting, space exploration, etc., impressively. ISRO has also, developed many industries who facilitate the production of rockets and satellites. In the current decade, the Government of India has launched proactive developmental initiatives like Digital India, Make in India, Smart City, Swach Bharat, National Education Mission and National Skill Mission programmes. It has also opened up the Space Sector, so that private industries and startups can also contribute in space systems like launch vehicles & satellites and utilize technology and infrastructure of ISRO. Very ambitious and diverse programs like the Human Spaceflight Program, Space Tourism, Heavy Launch Vehicle, Low cost access to space etc. are also being planned by ISRO in the coming years.
The two-day conference will have a keynote address, Dr S. Ramakrishnan Memorial Lecture and invited talks by eminent scientists and researchers, Parallel sessions of invited papers along with Poster paper exhibition in the relevant fields. This conference will bring together Scientists, Technologists and Private Entrepreneurs to common forums which will benefit all participants.
