Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala, houses many Government offices,organizations and is also a major academic hub. This city has a climate that borders between a tropical savanna climate and a tropical monsoon climate. The mean maximum temperature is 34°C and the mean minimum temperature is 21°C. Thiruvananthapuram is the first city along the path of the south-west monsoon and gets its first showers in the early June.
